I just have to laugh...

it seems that everytime I mention something that I do in scrapbooking, I will read about it either in a new scrapbooking idea book, magazine, or blog. I just told someone the other day about how I write personal messages on the back of my scrapbook pages. There are times that I want to tell something about the photos but there just isn't enough room to write it on the front of the page. My daughters know to take the pages out of the page protectors and check the back for more journaling. That is where one will find "my real story".

When I journal, I also write it to the person that will receive the layout for their book (each child has their own book and I have a family book, I also started a book about Dustin after he died and I talk to him in it as though he is still alive and I scrapbook his baby photos, school photos or just whatever, really helps with the grief process), and all of my journaling is signed, "love, mom" or "love granny" and the date that I make the page. The date of the photos will be on the layout somewhere else. For example, in my granddaughter's book, I journal as though I am talking to her and telling her a story about the photos, event or whatever it is. That way it is a personal message to her and she knows what I was thinking the day I scrapped the photos. It just gives the scrapbooks a little more umph!

Speaking of scrapping, I have to go....
