Altered Canvas Calendar

I saw this home decor idea originally on the Paper Crazy blog at The Paper Mill Store

www.thepapermillstore.com/papercrazy/ .

This is the direct link to their photo http://www.thepapermillstore.com/papercrazy/?page_id=91&album=1&photo=586

I liked it so much that I did my own version of the calendar except I made it on a 11"x14" canvas. I printed the calendar pages using a program on my computer but it would be fun to make the pages with stamps too. I reinforced the back of the canvas with a piece of cardboard that I put the silver clasp through. The cardboard gives the canvas some support so you can write on the calendar pages.

I have never been a big fan of home decor classes because generally the class project won't match my home decor. So when I was planning this project for Inspiration Cafe's monthly project, I decided to bring the basics for the class and have everyone bring their own paper and paint. We'll see how this goes.

We will be making this at Inspiration Cafe's all day crop on July 19. I will provide the canvas and clasp, scrappy glue, pop dots, Stickles, corrugated cardboard, chipboard to cut the letters for whatever you want your calendar title to be and beads for the flower centers. I will show you how to make the flowers.

Since home decor colors are all so different, I thought everyone could bring their own paint in your favorite color and patterned paper to match your home decor. You will also need cardstock to cover the letters, or you can paint your letters.

Hi Scrapytiff, I used Crystal Stickles. Crysal and Stardust are my favorite Stickles.
