Floating Frame using Accucut Scallop Mat

I saw a project similar to this on Scrapbook Memories TV. But as usual I changed everything about it except that the photo appears to float in the middle of the frame. I sandwiched everything between two pieces of glass so you can easily clean the glass in years to come without touching the photo or stamping.
The black and white photo is 5x7 so I cut the Accucut Scallop Mat on the non scallop side to fit the photo (item #M1236 for those who might like to purchase the mat die from Accucut).
Stamping on glass looks much easier than I actually found it to be. It took alot of practice to get the stamped images to look nice. I used Close to my Heart Flourish acrylic stamps and Stazon ink to stamp the images. The Stazon cleanser takes the stamped images off the glass very easily if you make a mistake as I did many times LOL! Keep your Windex and paper towels nearby also to clean the glass after you use the Stazon cleaner.
I used a 1/4" strip of black matt board between the two pieces of glass in the frame around the entire outer edge of the frame so it doesn't show through to the front, but gives a space between the two pieces of glass. There are also tiny clear gemstones on the flourishes and a piece of black velvet ribbon across the frame between the two pieces of glass. I adhered the photo to the Scallop mat and then adhered that to the back piece of glass.
When you hang this photo on the wall, your wall color will show through the glass and looks really cool. This one is just sitting on my desk until I can decide where I want to hang it.
This is the project we will be doing this weekend at Inspiration Cafe Bradenton during our all day crop. The cost is $10 with all profits going to the Cafe.
